The Basset Bandits Make out Big!

So, for a little background. Rupert has been here almost 4 weeks (wow time flies!) now and of course we love him. But we fear (sarcasm) that he has split personality disorder. His one side, nicknamed McLovin' is a smooshy lil lovebug. He rolls right over for bellyrubs when you pet him and he cuddles up to me real close. Total sweetheart.

Then, there's RR, or RottenRupert. This side usually comes out when we aren't paying attention or when we leave...even for a few minutes. RR chews stuff - anything really. He barkbarkbarks and chases his brother around like crazy. He's a destroyer, on a mission for paper products.

So onto last night...It's Friday, my favorite day. I come home to a very clean house today. (thanks James!) "What a great day!" We decide to make tacos and rent movies, have a fun night at home with the boys. We head out for about 20 mins to get supplies. While heading home James jokes about what we're going to come home to...."nah, we've barely been gone"...."then again Rupert has skills like a cheetah, just look away for 10 seconds and you're in for it".

I walk in first, Rupert bolts. Cowboy (my usual angel) has been corrupted. He has a small box of cornbread mix stuck on his snout. I can see bits of chewed cardboard as I approach the living room. I start laughing, in total shock. I run for the camera. Yep, that's what I think is most important in a time like this, the camera. All I could think is, "they won't believe me unless I have proof".

Items confiscated from pantry by the basset bandits include: a bottle of Pam Cooking Spray, a box of over 150 hor'dourve (sp?) skewers, 2 boxes of tea bags....

A raw potatoe....partially chewed up.....
A 1/2 bottle of vegetable oil, a box of banana bread mix and a box of pumpkin bread mix, and lastly the box of cornbread mix that was stuck on Cowboy's snout...
And they did it all in less than 30 minutes! It appears my boys have a passion for baking...or maybe they're against all baking of any sort and needed to destroy said products immediately. Needless to say, they're both grounded! James had to do it though, I was too busy laughing.
