Wow, no post in 2 weeks!!!
Where to start? I'll take you thru my last two weeks using my recent pics to refresh my memory...
We attended a Basset Hound Meet-up. Of course other dogs were welcome too.
There were about 15 bassets who showed up with their slaves.
Look at this little sausage....so cute!
I bought a super cute hippy doormat. I love it. Every morning when I leave for work it puts a smile on my face.
Cowboy lounging in front of a fan. Such a rough life....
My mom and cousin came to visit for a few days.
We went to Mexico, err I mean Tijuana. It was fun. There are 3 things you always have to do when you go to TJ:
1. Take a picture with on a zebra. Here is Gabrielle with Rube the zebra...also known as a painted donkey.
2. Enjoy the gorgeous view of the skyline...note the silver arch, Tijuana's landmark.
And 3. Eat some good authentic Mexican food while drinking Coca-Cola Light out of a straw.
Then you gotta walk a million miles back feeling like you'll never make it....
And once you cross back over, take a deep breath of clean, fresh air and smile knowing you are lucky to live in the U.S
The next day was full of relaxation. We went to beach....
Waded in the water....
Splashed in the waves...
And then took Gabrielle to the airport. Momma left soon after, and I enjoyed the weekend to the fullest extent. Last Saturday I went with some girlfriends to see Tainted Love, an 80's cover band. Sunday we just relaxed and ran errands. And then I worked all week. Now its the start of another weekend and all I can say is TGIF!

How come shorter weeks seem so much longer?
Last week felt like it took forever with the holiday breaking it up and then this week too is draggin on. I had every intention of going in on Monday, but luck would have it...I didn't. I woke up about a half hour late that morning and jumped in the shower, got dressed, blow-dryed my hair and then looked at the clock. I was gonna be a good 30 mins late to work. I decided to call my supe to let him know and as it rang I had an idea. If he answers, I'll go in late, but if he doesn't...I wont go in at all. Well the glorious sound of a voicemail came on and I was home free, literally. I left a message that I wouldnt be coming in, appologized for the inconvenience and that was that. It's kind of his fault if you think about it, he should've just answered. :) So to any of you who supervise others...answer the phone if you want attendance. LOL
It turned out to be quite a productive day though because I was dressed and showered by 7am - on my day off. (Trust me, this is rare.) I played with CB, took him on walkies and even made breakfast in bed for James. Then I dropped all the laundry off at the laundromat and we walked Cowboy down to the do-it-yourself dog wash. We got him squeaky clean, he smells delicious. I then finished the laundry, went to Ace, cleaned the house and made invitations for Cowboy's birthday bash! As a reward...you know, (since it was my day off afterall) we treated ourselves to burgers and pitchers at our favorite local joint, Rocky's. We then walked home, to avoid any legal issues AND get some extra exercise.
But getting to the point, now I feel like this week too is dragging on. And then next week will be 4 days too, (i'm off Friday for Mom & cousin) so hopefully it wont feel like forever. Oh well, I guess I can't complain.4 days is always better than 5.

7-7-7 : Lucky Day?
Well hoping today would be filled with luck, we purchased lotto tickets for tonights drawing....no luck. We did however run into several weirdos today, maybe 7-7-7 brings them out, like fuill moons do. And we did also avoid two close-call accidents so i guess that could be called "lucky"....hope you all had some good luck today.
Happy Independence Day (belated)
Well I've misplaced my camera connection cord so i cannot upload our most recent photos.
We had a very fun-filled fourth of July. It was so crowded here in the beach areas. I came home from work Tuesday with the intentions of finding a good street parking spot only to sell it the following morning to some passerby who couldnt find a spot. Much to my dismay there was NO parking whatsoever. This is unheard of for a Tuesday afternoon. Cars were zooming thru the neighborhood all night and everytime I heard someone leaving I'd run out to take the spot but there was always someone waiting for it. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
Wednesday we woke up early and Cowboy & I went for a morning stroll. Traffic was crazy even by 700am. Then we mosey'd around the house, gathering beach items and giving CB lots of love (since he'd be home alone all day). We rearranged our parking spots to make room for 10 cars when we usually only park 4 out there. All of our friends were stoked on the reserved, close parking spots. By about 1030 we were walking toward the ocean and the sand was already filling up. We hung out at some friends house right on the boardwalk where there were kegs and jello shots galore.
Somehow we made it til 6pm without passing out or getting too burnt. We arrived home to a happy little basset who was ready to play. By 8pm we were sound asleep and ready to tackle a long day of work on Thursday....sort of. :-)
